SunSong Ranch Work Orders: Question

Are we unable to do the same work order two days straight?

Yesterday I took the dailies Work Order I: Golden Lotus and Work Order I: Shado-Pan. I planted the seeds, auto-completed the quests, and was given the follow-up Work Order II for both factions.

So, I just completed Work Order II, harvesting and packing up the crops. I then selected Work Order I: Golden Lotus and Work Order I: August Celestials.

I planted the melon seeds for August Celestials, did the auto-turn-in and was given Work Order II: August Celestials accordingly. But when I planted the appropriate seeds for hte Golden Lotus and auto-completed Work Order I: Golden Lotus, I did NOT receive Work Order II: Golden Lotus. It doesn't show on the board, either.

Does this mean that I can't do Work Order II: Golden Lotus two days consecutively? Or do I just need to wait until tomorrow and I'll find Work Order II: Golden Lotus on the work order board?

I'm hoping to find out the answer before daily reset time tomorrow, that way if I should dig up the Golden Lotus crops and write off the seeds, and do Work Order I: Operation Shieldwall, I can avoid missing a whole day for one half of the ranch.

I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I've been on hiatus from the game since before 5.2 went live.

A Question About Tier Set bonuses

Hi,

Having never raided before this expansion I have a question that maybe a bit noobish.....

If I have a T14 2 set bonus, can I also have a T15 2 set bonus?

A Question about Tanking

Having a group of people you know to learn is a lot better than doing randoms.  If you go into a random and just plain can't tank or know what you are doing it is a MAJOR pain.  As for leveling up that is up to you though I agree you won't learn a whole lot as tanking at max level is different without the same cooldwons and abilites.

If you are going to give tanking a go then get some valor gear and do a few LFR's and change your toons spec to tank spec after the fight and give a second roll for a tank piece till 5.3 when you can just select the spec you would like to get gear for.  Don't just find some random greens and call yourself a tank.  An addon or two geared towards tanking will help as well.  Tidy plates with threatplates is nice so you can see that you have agro on the mobs and Tauntmaster can be helpful for taunting something off of the rest of the group.

And until you have figured tanking out let people know. . . don't just go in and start fighting and then loose agro and let a mage tank something.  Repair bills add up and they will either leave or you will get kicked, even if you just have to make a macro to tell the group you are new to tanking and learning will help.  If I know someone is having a rough time or going to I lay off the DPS a bit so they can get agro easier, otherwise I charge in when the tank does and coun't till three till I pop sweeping strikes and bladestorm. . . after that good luck on getting agro if you aern't ready for it.

Hardware Question

So ive noticed that i have had to turn some of my settings down to be able to get acceptable fps.

In Cata i had everythign cranked to Ultra and all the best settings and i ran 30 to 50 fps.

now im down to the mid 20s dipping into the teens on occassion and that was even trunign the multisampling and a few of the other effects down.

I want to run everything wide open and im wondering if i do a grapics card upgrade if that will acheive it or is my system just too low on recources to accomplish this

I am running

Asus Pro 5ql mother board
6 gigs of ddr2 ram
Intel core 2 Quad 3 gig processor
Sapphire RAedon 48xx card....cant remember which one but itwas the bigges 48xx series at the time
100g HD

was thinking maybe if i went more ram and a better card I could jump over the edge but i don't wanna spend the cash unless im certain it wll work. Thoughts opinions?

thought about attempting to overclock the processor but i dont' have any evpericence in doing that and i don't wanna break something.

open to suggestions on ideas here.

Question opgrading gear with justice points

When you enchant or gem an item that you've equipped, you can no longer trade it.

This may create a different question since you are new.  You'll notice the piece of gear says "Bind on Pickup."  This means that through conventional means, you cannot trade this piece of gear.  This is unlike gear that says "Bind on Equip" which means that you can freely trade that piece of gear until it is equipped by someone.  Once you've looted a Bind on Pickup item, you cannot trade it with one exception...

The exception is that for 2 hours after picking an item up, you may trade it to anyone that was eligible for the loot at that exact moment.  For example, in your case, you looted some shoulders.  These shoulders were Bind on Pickup so you couldn't trade them.  However, you'd notice for the first two hours, there would be some bright blue text explaining you could trade them for the next 2 hours but ONLY to the other people in your 5 man dungeon group.  You couldn't, for example, loot something out of a dungeon, come out of the dungeon, and trade it to a guildmate who did not participate in your dungeon group.

Let's say you are a Warrior who is DPSing.  A Paladin tank sees some Dodge/Mastery legplates that are Bind on Pickup and rolls need.  The Warrior clicks Need as well and wins the item.  However, the Paladin asks the Warrior if he could get them since it is his mainspec.  The Warrior agrees and trades them to the Paladin. This is why this system was implemented.  There were instances in raids where a loot master, common in most organized raids, mistakenly assigned a piece of loot to the wrong person.  This made it really frustrating for the loot master and the rightful recepient of the loot.  Blizzard found this to be the best possible idea to help alleviate what was a common issue.

To summarize...
1) Bind on Pickup gear may be traded to others who were able to roll on the loot (same 5 man, same 10 man raid, same 25 man raid, etc) for 2 hours.  After that, the trade opportunity text goes away and that item is bound to you.
2) Bind on Pickup gear will lose the trading opportunity if gemmed, enchanted, or reforged.  The game will prompt you to make sure you are willing to give up the trade chance.
3) Bind on Equip gear will be able to be traded freely without time restriction until someone has equipped it.  There will be no trading opportunity once a BoE is equipped.

Question on Elder Charm of Good Fortune

Apparently I still quite confuse with Elder Charm of Good Fortune . 5 days ago , it was the 1st time I got the achievement Settle Down, Bro Settle Down Bro and I only got Cache of Sha-Touched Gold which contain 28g.

So last night after server up (after maintenance) about 3 hours before weekly raid reset ( oceanic realm / it was 1am my local time ), I went to another attempt at Sha of Anger again, but this time I use Elder Charm right after boss been defeated. I roll with it and got another Cache of Sha-Touched Gold for the 2nd time of this week. Sadly, I got another 28g. My other friends who join with me, they didn't use Elder charm and didn't got anything.

So here my question, if for example, you fail to get any good loot(only getting free gold) on your first attempt, you can try again for another attempt using Elder of Charm? Perhaps, do several kills/attempt till you win something nice. Is that possible or maybe I only will got gold from the boss if using Elder of Charm after the 1st attempt.
