The Queue: Guy sitting at a table

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

This is an image of a guy sitting at a table. It's been a rough morning.

mtdent23 asked:

I play Alliance characters, but I want to see these cool things people are talking about in the Horde, specifically Garrosh and his dealings with Vol'jin and Baine and his involvements in Pandaria. Would my best course of action to seeing this content be to make an Orc or Troll, or would it be to make a DK and get to the 85-90 stuff more quickly, or something else?

Thanks in advance!

Your best course of action would be to make a DK, due to the leveling advantage, though I'm not sure why you think they need to be an orc or troll. The Dominance Offensive stuff is available to any member of the Horde.

demon.within.x asked:

Could Ra-den be the missing keeper from storm peaks?

No. If it was Tyr, they would've just called him Tyr.

inkliizii1 asked:

Will they be keeping the item upgrade system in 5.2? I've been using it as an alternative to rep grinding, while still letting me get better gear with my valor points.

Ghostcrawler tweeted yesterday that the item upgrade feature is gone in 5.2. The upgrades on existing items won't disappear, but the NPCs themselves are gone. He said they hope to bring the feature back at a later date once they can tinker with it.

Matthew2 asked:

So, I'm trying to Void Storage this season's pvp gear and it says 'you can't do that yet'. Whats up with that?

It's a bug, from what I understand, having to do with the item upgrade system. They're looking into it.

Aubrey asked:

Here's a question: how come you guys never seem to paraphrase your Queue questions? I've seen a few doozies (including my own) get posted that are paragraphs long, mostly semi-relevant fluff or extraneous detail that was more post-question pondering than the question itself, yet it all gets included. Are you worried about readers misinterpreting the questions if you don't post them in full? Or the askers getting angry you didn't include their full post?

I do like seeing my name up there from time to time, but I'll gladly admit I tend to require some editing, I tend to get rambly when typing.

Honestly, it's just to make sure the questions (and thus the questioners) are properly represented. We're not supposed to proofread or compress direct quotes. Exceptions are when we cut out "Q4TQ:" or the like from the beginning of questions, because why would you put that? You're asking a question in the comments. We know what a question looks like.

Breakfast Topic: Why is Illidan sitting on the roof?

Breakfast Topic Why is Illidan sitting on the roofSo I was farming my Warglaives this week (as I do every week) and I noticed a few things. The first was that monks can equip the glaives now, which I only noticed because the main hand finally dropped (it's been what, five years?) and the second was that Illidan sitting on the roof as he does serves no purpose. Why is he up there?

Of course part of this is the trope we've come to accept from raid design - the end boss doesn't come down and help smash us, it's just not done. Nefarian sat around and waited for us to show up in BWL and BWD, he even flew around waiting for us in the later raid. But with Illidan it's doubly maddening because the guy is up there kneeling on the roof staring at the Skull of Gul'dan, and I find myself wondering if that's all he bothers to do with his time. He's got an entire seraglio downstairs that he doesn't seem particularly interested in, for one thing.

So I ask you - which boss seems to be up to the most baffling or confusing antics? Is it XT, wandering around junk piles in Ulduar? Is it Lady Deathwhisper and her seminar of evil in ICC? Did you find Staghelm's refusal to pitch in and help Alysrazor when he was right there baffling? I'm still stuck on Illidan's moongazing, myself. Why is he up there?

Mists of Pandaria is here! The level cap has been raised to 90, many players have returned to Azeroth, and pet battles are taking the world by storm. Keep an eye out for all of the latest news, and check out our comprehensive guide to Mists of Pandaria for everything you'll ever need to know.
